How JobCapture Works
The patent pending Auto Job Jacket—the heart and soul of JobCapture—literally captures time associated with worked-on documents. Designed to maximize useful work information while minimizing intrusion into your work routine, the Auto Job Jacket sends important job- or activity-related information to a central database (included) whenever a document is closed. In other words, JobCapture proactively brings the software to you at the perfect moment, when a document is closed, eliminating the potential for human error!

Featuring powerful TCP/IP network communication along with a robust database engine, JobCapture also allows organizations large or small to reap the benefits of automated time and activity reporting. Windows users can even send data directly to MS Access in the form of an .mdb file, while Mac users can export directly to FileMaker.

More Versatility with the JobCapture Palette
Even off-screen work, such as phone calls or meetings, can be easily recorded and added to the JobCapture database. Designed with a single-click timer for easy start-stop control, the JobCapture Palette simplifies complex work patterns by providing more time capturing flexibility (see above graphic). It also supports batch-processing activities.

More Control with CaptureWorks Manager Software
The CaptureWorks Manager allows you to monitor the status of any job on your network at any given time. Data can be analyzed in various ways simultaneously—by user, activity, application, job, client and much more—so useful comparisons can be made.

The Manager Software also enables you to easily define and customize every aspect of how JobCapture (or PrintCapture) behaves through intuitive settings and list dialogs. The powerful Preference Editing Functions can be used to define which activities appear in pop-up menus in the Job Jacket dialogs, allowing users to categorize their work in ways tailored to your business.

In addition, the Manager allows you to collect, manage, sort, and export data, calculate costs, filter content and generate custom reports for billing, analysis, and super-accurate time/cost estimates.



Add and manage client information, projects, and jobs, complete with budgets, rates, and deadlines. Import data from external sources or easily configure the auto-import feature for automated data importing. You can also hook the Manager up to external databases via the ODBC mapper provided or import via tabbed text or XML





Drill down to the smallest details of work that has been done or zoom out for reports on the "Big Picture". The best thing CaptureWorks does is gather the best data on work done available.
