JobCapture System Requirements + Installation
Desktop Tracking Application (Client)
•   Apple OS X 10.3 or Higher and Windows XP or higher
•   RAM memory overhead requirement is negligible. The memory should reflect the requirements of the highest demand application loaded in the desktop plus 1 or 2 MB
•   Hard disk space is negligible, as JobCapture on the desktop caches data for the day and sends it to the database

Manager and Server Applications
•   Any Apple machine running Apple OS X. Even an iMac can be used. Windows XP or Server 2003
•   Hard disk space requirement is directly related to the number of users and the amount of historical data to maintain over a period of time. CaptureWorks can make recommendations upon the sizing of your requirements
•   Data we've collected suggests each user creates approximately 2,000 records per month at around 1.5 k each, equaling 3MB per user per month
•   Server RAM should be at least 512MB range for medium organizations
•   As with all important company data, you should include JobCapture data files in your normal backup procedures to guard against crashes, power outages, etc.
•   Database and Connectivity Built-in: SQLite on Mac, ADO .NET on Windows and ODBC and XML import/export functionality

Installation
Installing JobCapture is easy. The Manager Application allows you to easily specify preferences before deploying JobCapture on your network. Once your preferences are set—such as what applications you wish to track, billing time interval, etc.—simply run the JobCapture client on any machine on the network and it will find the Manager and get everything it needs to set itself up. Done.
