CaptureWorks Manager Support

Problem
Solution
Do you offer on-site support or training? For some cases in our region we will send a technical representative on-site. You can also try to contact one of our certified CaptureWorks Partners who offer qualified technical service of all sorts.
How do I uninstall the manager on OS X? Remove the main folder where the manager resides. Then remove the CaptureWorks folder found in the Library: Preferences folder. To preserve settings, leave this folder in place.
I'd like to enter jobs into Microsoft Excel and import them into the Manager. This is done very easily by following the example at the back of the PDF manual, or you can download an example here. After you have finished filling in your data, save the spreadsheet as .txt (Tab delimited) and import directly into the Job List Editor. To be even more sure, here is an actual sample tab-delimited .txt file that can be imported properly.
How do I move the Manager to another machine on Mac OS X? All settings and data for the Manager live inside the "CaptureWorks 6 Folder" located in User Home:Library: Preferences. Simply download the latest version or copy the Manager 6 Folder where the actual applications are, then copy the Prefs folder above to the same exact location on the new machine. For those that have purchased a license, the only way to acquire a permanent, non-expiring license for the new machine is to provide the Request Code shown in the License Dialog to CaptureWorks to get a matching answer code. Use the Copy Code button to paste the number into an email, and send to support@captureworks.com.
How do I add or change licenses or renew an expired license? To add a new license, access the Licenses Dialog via the File Menu, then click Add License. If you are changing an existing license, first select it, then click Change License. If your license has a date kill on it you will see the expiration date in the list. For those that have purchased a license, the only way to acquire a permanent, non-expiring license is to provide the Request Code shown in the License Dialog to CaptureWorks to get a matching answer code. Use the Copy Code button to paste the number into an email, and send to support@captureworks.com.
CaptureWorks Antenna Support

Problem
My client is always losing the connection to the Antenna?
Solution
Make sure you have the Manager/Antenna machine set up with a fixed (static) IP address and not DHCP. Mac users can also use the Rendezvous option to "Find Antenna" in the client File Menu, however, the static IP option is the better solution.

Check in the Client's Preferences dialog to make sure it has the same IP address and port number listed as you are using on the Antenna.

Restart Manager, Antenna, and Client after making changes to IP settings.

Does it need to be on the same machine as the Manager? Yes, keep it in the same folder as well.
Does it need to be running all the time? No, only if you need interactive features, such as the ability to remotely add job numbers or to update lists. The next time it is running and users are connected, unsent logs will be sent.
